Behringer Tube Composer T1952

The Tube Composer is two channel tube compressor/limiter that is designed for studio use (either professional or home studios). It also has an expander and gate as well as a peak limiter. It uses 12ax7 tubes and provides 5 different dynamics processing functions: compressor, limiter, gate, expander, peak limiter. It includes an Interactive Gain Control circuit (IGC) that limits the signal in two phases. It does this in such a way as to protect against overs without altering the audio quality. The tube allows you to add even harmonics which gives you a "sweeter" more musical sounding signal.

It does this by using a "Warmth" control that allows you to add the amount you want or none at all. The Interactive Knee Adaptation (IKA) is an algorithm that adapts the compression parameters based upon the input signal. You can select to use the Interactive Knee or Hard Knee compression modes. There is also an AUTO switch that automatically adjusts the attack and release times again based upon the input signal.

Behringer's Interactive Ratio Control is used in the expander and gate functions of the T1952. It's used to provide extremely smooth noise reduction to the input. You can link both channels together useing the "Stereo Link" button which will adjust both the left and right channels using the left channels controls. The servo-balanced input and output accept both TRS and 1/4" high-imp inputs. This is great for smaller home studios as well as connecting to larger mixing consoles.

Also included is a switchable high-pass filter as well as a Compression switchable between interactive-knee and hard-knee. Behringer further enhanced the T1952 with an IGC (Interactive Gain Control) circuitry provides clipper and program limiter as well as an IRC (Interactive Ratio Control) expander/gate for gentle disturbance suppression
